Unexplained Experience
On March 11, 2023, I went out for dinner with a friend in Northbridge. I was going through tough times, I didn’t really want to go out but I felt a strong pull to go. For the past month, I had an intense feeling that wouldn’t let me stay at home. So, I listened to it.
A restaurant grabbed my attention—Lucky Chans Noodle Bar, cleverly disguised as a laundromat. Intrigued, I was determined to wait despite the crowd. Peter asked if I wanted to continue searching, but I insisted on staying. I really did not want to move and felt compelled to stay in that spot even though we were outside and that it may take longer to get a table.
As we stood outside Lucky Chans, appreciating the entrance and snapping photos, I sensed a familiar presence approaching toward me and it felt strong to the point I felt pulled. Peter greeted the person passing by while I remained on the doorstep just behind him during their exchange. While standing there it occurred to me, I was hearing what sounded like whispers, five quiet very peaceful voices it was as if they were talking amongst each other.
The stranger and I greeted one another and he positioned himself directly in front of me. Although I felt tempted to make a playful gesture to cross my eyes, like a dork, I remained composed and calm. We held each other’s gaze, and in what seemed like an Instant, the experience escalated to an extraordinary level.
"Standing In front of one another, it felt like time had stood still, the buildings and everything around us faded away. There was a clear and pure, bright light appearing on his left side moving gradually, as If a camera were capturing images around him. The light was quite bright I felt I couldn’t open my eyes. Once our eyes met, they were locked, in my peripheral vision, while maintaining this gaze. I noticed bright lights approaching from behind me. After a moment, these lights stopped with sound effects speeding right behind the person I was greeting. Suddenly, it was as if I had stepped forward in an instant, bringing my face directly in front of his face and my left eye magnified his right eye (eye to eye). Throughout this experience, there was a profound sense of peace and comfort—I did not want to leave."
The experience was so phenomenal and so clear, there were sounds I could hear that was not earthly, but did not startle me. It was like a slow/fast experience, the eye-to-eye connection it felt like we stood there for a good ten seconds just staring at each other without saying a word.
When this person broke the eye contact, I returned to reality, wondering to myself, 'What on earth did I just experience?' I couldn't identify what I experienced.
He shook Peters hand and made a few comments and left.
The experience was so extraordinary I couldn’t place what really happened. I couldn’t think for a while or even react to what happened.
He was with someone else who eventually caught up with him. I stood there watching them walk away, wondering, If he experienced what I experience.
